This upper Columbia River business got it’s start in 1972 as Wilma Savola began selling commercial fishing gear form the back of her small pickup at age 24. She soon began working for Portland Fish Company and moved into canning and drying Salmon in Cooks, WA. Raising children and working many jobs kept her near The Dalles and she’s now using the historic “Katz” building for the business.

She serves nearly 140 families and has the pleasure of seeing third and fourth generation fishers from the Yakima, Warm Springs, Umatilla, Nez Perce, Quinault and Chehalis tribes. The service at The Dalles Marine Supply is unparalleled to anyone in the Pacific Northwest.
